Partnerships
UK Youth and TRIUMPH announce strategic partnership to increase racial equity in the youth sector.
We are proud to announce that UK Youth and TRIUMPH have initiated a strategic partnership, aligning our commitment to build a better sector for ALL professionals, practitioners and young people.

What our partnership seeks to achieve
- · Strengthen equity, inclusion and representation across the youth and outdoor learning sectors.
- · Support and amplify sector-led solutions that shift power and practice.
- · Improve evidence, insight and shared understanding of equity in youth work.
- · Enable more connected, informed, and co-ordinated sector action.
- · Ensure lived experience and Global Majority leadership meaningfully shape sector infrastructure and decision-making.
Through a network of over 9,000 organisations, UK Youth is committed to amplifying this work and increasing the reach of the strategic activities that embed equity into the sector.
The 3 A's in action
Awareness Raising
Through joint communications, partnered engagement activities and focused campaigns, we expect to increase sector awareness of equity priorities and TRIUMPH-led initiatives to increase sector equity.
Analysis and Insight
We will collaborate to strengthen the sector's understanding of equity through data, insight and evidence gathering, leading to the publication of infographics, stat sheets and snapshot reports that tell the story of our sector's progress towards equity.
Active Facilitation
The partnership will support TRIUMPH's development, positioning, and scaling of equity-focused sector solutions that are co-created with young people and practitioners — including the HEAL Academy, 'The Equitable Funder' to address racial disparities in grantmaking, and our toolkit for supporting and empowering Global Majority colleagues, launching in early 2027.
What this means for sector colleagues and organisations
This partnership, due to its focus on racial equity and anti-oppression, will benefit everyone in the sector. As we work to deliver the 3 A's, you will:
- · Gain access to new programmes, initiatives and resources that support individual and organisational commitments to equity and anti-oppression.
- · Gain more clarity over equity developments, or lack thereof, and how we all can play a part in responding to our current and future reality.
- · Have your voices and experiences amplified and strengthened if you are an active champion of increased racial equity in the youth sector.
- · Have increased opportunities to shape sector infrastructure and ensure that equity is built into how the sector is developed.
- · Know where to go to push for accountability, ask questions, give feedback and share thoughts on how to increase equity in the sector.
"TRIUMPH has, in a short space of time, become one of the most important voices in our sector on racial equity, and the work they lead is practical, evidence-based, and shaped by the people it's designed to serve. We are proud to stand alongside them."
"This partnership is more than a display of collaboration, this is about commitment. Partnering with UK Youth around our 3 A's presents an opportunity to bring critical solutions and increase the sector's engagement with equity and inclusion in a way that can be truly transformative."
