WHAT MAKES HEAL DIFFERENT?
Our mission with the HEAL Academy is to remove barriers and create access to sector-level leadership for global majority colleagues in the youth sector.
Grassroots, local community, frontline response... all places where there is no shortage of global majority professionals leading. However, when we look at National, Regional and Infrastructural organisations, global majority presence in leadership is minimal.
HEAL Academy was created in response to this reality.
We are equipping global majority leaders to become sector leaders, whilst transforming organisations' existing leadership to increase access to roles and opportunities.
Leaders deserve support while they lead, not only when they feel to break. The sector needs leaders who are well, grounded, and equipped for the long term.
HEAL is where leadership development meets care, equity, and practice.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
Two Tailored Pathways
Choose from two development routes designed to support professionals at different stages of their leadership and wellbeing journey.
Clinical Supervision
Structured, reflective supervision led by qualified practitioners to support safe, effective, and grounded professional practice.
Peer Community Learning
Learn collaboratively through group sessions, shared reflection, and a supportive community of peers across the sector.
Leadership Retreats
Immersive retreat experiences that offer reflection, renewal, and practical tools to strengthen your leadership approach.
Paid Secondments (80 Hours)
Funded placements offering hands-on sector experience, confidence-building, and meaningful learning in real-world environments.
Closing Symposium & Alumni Network
Celebrate achievements at the end-of-programme symposium and stay connected through a lifelong alumni community.
Therapeutic Coaching
A blended coaching model that supports emotional wellbeing, personal insight, and long-term professional resilience.
Sector-Led Masterclasses
Interactive sessions delivered by industry experts, designed to deepen knowledge and enhance specialist skills.
